Construction
The construction industry awaits new activity
In line with an already gloomy 2018, difficulties persist in 2019 in the construction industry. Entrepreneurs in the sector continue to report a degraded volume of activity. They are also not very optimistic about the ability to revive their activity, in a context of fewer large construction sites (after particularly sustained years) and saturation of the private construction segment and in particular of intermediate housing. Cement consumption, one of the main indicators of activity in the sector, recorded a further decline (-10.9% compared to 2018), reaching its lowest level since this statistic exists (1992).
